Reach new heights with the updated Hi-Rock 2.0.
The FTX Outback Hi-Rock returns with a comprehensive update, combining rugged pickup styling with a low centre of gravity, portal axles and a two-speed transmission. From technical rock sections to woodland trails, the Hi-Rock 2.0 brings the hardware to take your next adventure further.
At its heart is a reinforced 1.5mm steel C-channel chassis, supported by substantial 6mm solid metal suspension links and reinforced nylon ball joints. This eight-link suspension layout allows the axles to articulate over uneven ground, while adjustable CNC aluminium oil-filled shock absorbers help keep the tyres planted.
Front and rear portal axles raise the axle housings for greater obstacle clearance, with metal gears and painted metal housing covers adding strength and detail. Steel front CVD universal driveshafts provide smooth power delivery through the steering range, while telescopic centre driveshafts accommodate suspension movement.
A low-mounted, servo-operated two-speed transmission gives you the choice of controlled low-speed crawling or a faster pace between obstacles. Select the 58:1 low ratio for demanding climbs, then shift into the 28:1 high ratio for open trail sections. A reverse-drive transmission design helps reduce torque twist, keeping the chassis more composed under power.
Steering comes courtesy of an axle-mounted Etronix 15kg waterproof metal-geared servo with a metal horn, providing a direct response when picking your way through difficult terrain. A 550-size 20-turn brushed motor supplies the drive, paired with the proven Hobbywing WP1060 60A waterproof ESC.
High-grip Fastrax Grappler tyres provide traction across varied surfaces, mounted on scale beadlock-style wheels with 12mm aluminium hexes. An adjustable battery mount adds setup flexibility, while inner wheel fenders and chassis side guards help limit dirt ingress.
The updated pickup body completes the package with a moulded grille, LED headlights, mirrors, roll cage, snorkel and light buckets. Hidden body mounting keeps the exterior clean for a convincing trail-ready appearance.
Supplied ready-to-run with a six-channel 2.4GHz radio system, Voltz 7.2V 2000mAh NiMH battery and USB charger, the Hi-Rock 2.0 requires just four AA transmitter batteries before you head out.
Load up, choose your line and take the high road with the FTX Outback Hi-Rock 2.0.
