The XFly Spitfire Mk.IX “Spirit of Kent” is a scale replica of one of the most iconic fighters of World War II, featuring a 1200mm wingspan and durable EPO foam construction, finished in an authentic matte scale livery inspired by the celebrated Spirit of Kent aircraft, named in honour of the county that played a vital role in Britain’s aerial defence.
XFly captures the elegant and timeless lines of the Spitfire Mk.IX with a high level of scale realism, including a 4-blade propeller, accurately profiled canopy, detailed pilot figure, exhaust stacks, wing cannons, and outward-retracting metal main landing gear with shock absorbing struts. The large battery hatch can accommodate a 4S 2600-4000mAh LiPo battery for a wider range of flight times. The combination of a 3541-KV745 motor and a 40A brushless ESC offers plenty of power and achieves excellent thrust-to-weight ratio for a satisfying scale performance.
The flap design on this model uses four panel split flaps for easier take-offs and landings, akin to its full-size counterpart. Day-bright LED wingtip lights aid in visibility and add realism. Designed to impress both in the air and on the ground, this version delivers a true warbird presence worthy of its historic inspiration.

Update 01/01/26: The laws have changed regarding operating drones and model aircraft in the UK.
What you need to do:
You must take a theory test and register with the CAA before flying most drones or model aircraft outdoors in the UK.
There are two requirements and you may need to meet both:
This makes sure you know how to fly safely and legally.
This registers you as someone who is responsible for a drone or model aircraft.
Most people get their Flyer ID and Operator ID at the same time.
It is against the law to fly a drone or model aircraft without having the required IDs.
You can also be fined for breaking the law when flying. In the most serious cases, you could be sent to prison.
The requirements are based on the weight or class of your drone or model aircraft.
