Savox/PF 1/8 Podiums & TQs
As the 1/8 Circuit season moved to its conclusion, Savox and Protoform driver Tim Wood had significant success.
CML driver Tim Wood's equipment combination of Savox SB2271SG Brushless servos coupled with Protoform lightweight R18 and Protoform P909 bodyshells proved fast and reliable. A nice TQ at the Cotswold national was backed up with a second place qualifying and overall finish at the last Halifax race of the year.
The penultimate race was held at the Wombwell circuit near Barnsley. Mark Green, Tim and John Carr were all in very good form for Team Serpent, scoring a 1/2/3 podium lockout all using Protoform race bodies. The Savox servos in Tim's Serpent 977 proved reliable as ever to power him to 2nd behind team-mate Mark. John Carr in his first season using Savox SB2271 servos (making the purchase after seeing Tim's strong performances) ran to a creditable 3rd place.
The result at Wombwell sees Tim shoot straight to the top of the championship with one race to run.
