Alsop Takes Maiden Victory

Alsop Takes Maiden Victory

Hobao/CML team driver Graham Alsop took his maiden BRCA 1/8th National victory at the first round of the 2008 season.

Qualifying saw Darren Bloomfield take pole from last years champion Neil Cragg. Neil had never been to this track before and was getting into his groove as the qualifying rounds progressed and managed to take the round win in the 3rd qualifying round. Graham Alsop placed his RB powered Hyper 8.5 3rd on the grid with some fast and consistent runs. The event was held at a very muddy track in Ware, Herts. The main final was run in very wet conditions and quickly became a two horse race between friends and rivals Graham Alsop and Neil Cragg. These two swapped the lead for the first 25 minutes when Neil suffered a sliced tyre which cut the battle short as Neil had to nurse his car home to 2nd. This left Graham to cruise to an unchallenged victory and a very popular triumph. Neil's tyre got shredded / Sloppy and his Hyper 8.5. Graham?s winning Hyper 8.5 was powered by an RB WS7 Engine with Byron GEN2 Race Fuel and was shod with Proline M3 Bowtie Tyres. You can downloads Graham's winning Setup Sheet here.
