The FCX18 Chevrolet K10 is an officially licensed crawler 1:18 scale . The scaler comes with a 2-speed gearbox, built-in electronics, integrated lighting, remote control and battery ready to drive out of the box.
The model is officially licensed by General Motors. From the two-tone, true-to-original paintwork, the radiator grille, the hinged tailgate on the loading area to the controllable lighting and the simulated bevel gear drive axles - every detail of this scaler is just right.
The tailgate can be opened so that various 1:18 scale components, such as motorcycles, kayaks and various camping equipment, can be stowed away. The spacious compartment concealed under the hood provides a clear view of the electronic components, making routine maintenance easier.
Masters any terrain To faithfully reproduce the off-road capability and handling of the original vehicle, FMS has made remarkable progress by deriving the FCX18 chassis from the FCX24 series chassis. The FCX18 chassis features a metal beam construction as well as metal beams (4-piece) and steering rods (2-piece) that are capable of performing even under extreme conditions. The centrally mounted drive unit has a low center of gravity and includes a 2-speed gearbox, a transfer case and a 180cc brush motor. The power is transmitted to the front and rear axles via the cardan shaft. The axles are equipped with wheel side reducers, commonly referred to as "portal axles", which increase the ground clearance of the differential gear group and improve driveability.
The FCX18 is fitted with a straight axle as standard, but the planetary differential can also be replaced with high viscosity silicone oil to simulate the drive effect of an LSD limited slip differential. After installing the differential, the ultimate climbing ability is reduced, but a smaller turning radius and more stable handling at high speeds are achieved.
2-speed gearbox The two-speed gearbox can be switched via the 3rd channel of the remote control and is operated via a 9g servo. The low reduction ratio is 99 and the torque is very high and suitable for extreme gradients. The high reduction ratio is 24.75, which means that relatively high speeds can be achieved.
Built-in electronics The waterproof electronics consist of a powerful brushed motor, two independent servos, a 3-in-1 receiver/controller/light control unit and a 2S (7.4V) 900mAh LiPo battery. The complete electronics are already integrated and connected in the model, so that the Chevrolet K10 can be started immediately after unpacking.
