CML Junior Driver Robson White dominates Rd 4 at Ndor with his Team Associated RC8B3.1

Round 4 of the Winter Series held at Ndor in Nottingham and would see the Team Associated RC8B3.1 prove to be the car to beat.

The track is a full blown astro turf with big jumps, fast flowing rhythm sections and the added bonus of the new section with the drop off, which was added for last year’s national meeting. The track also has under- cover pitting and a cafe.

QUALIFYING

For the first qualifying round Robson decided to try the new Proline Pinpoint tyre, wow the car felt great from the off with good forward traction and really safe in the corners, Robson was off to a good start and managed to take TQ in round one.

Robson made slight changes to ride height for the next two rounds and stopping with the new Proline Pinpoints he managed to TQ all three Rounds. Robson put a strong 11 lapper in round 3 to show a dominant performance.

FINALS

The temperature was dropping even more as the finals approached but Robson decided to keep all the car settings and oils the same for the final.

The start of the A final would be clean which allowed Robson to get a way and start to pull a slight lead, the first few laps were a bit hectic as the drivers tried to get a good position, but Robson managed to get into the grove pretty quick and start to increase his lead over the chasing pack.

There were a few issues with back markers throughout the 20 minuet final but all in all it was great clean race. Robson chose to do two fuel stops as he was still running a new engine in, this did not impact the race as he went on to take the A final win.

Joining the young junior in the A final, also with their RC8B3.1’s were Julian Jessop and Michael Isaacs. Both drivers also made the podium, making it a Team Associated podium lockout!

Special mention to Robson’s Dad who travelled all way from Scarborough to pit for him and Julian. Robson used the new Proline Pinpoint tyres, Savox servos and Voltz receiver pack with his Team Associated RC8B3.1 and would like to say thank you to CML for their continued support.
