Savox continue to win at BRCA On-Road Nationals

Last weekend saw the second round of the BRCA 1/8th On-road National Championship take place at the Wombwell circuit.

Saturday practice remained warm and dry all day, allowing for some quick times once the grip had come up.

Sunday was a lot cooler than the previous day, however after four rounds of qualifying, Savox driver Andy Hastings took the TQ position with his Velox V8 EC, 3.5 seconds clear of the 2nd place qualifier.

The start of the A final saw a small coming together with another driver, dropping Hastings back to 2nd place. After a good nose to tail battle for the lead, just after the first round of pits stops, a small mistake from the leader was enough to allow Hastings up the inside, and from there on he began to build up a lead eventually finishing well over a lap up in front of the 2nd place car.

The TQ and win moves Andy Hastings into the lead of the championship.

Andy was running Savox 1258 TG servo’s and the Protoform PF 909 lightweight bodyshell.
