Carisma Lock out the top 4 places in SWIS14/15 A final.
Sunday 18th January 2015, we arrived at The Grange School, Shrewsbury, on a cold morning, and glad to be inside for round 4 of the ever popular SWIS14/15 series running our Micro class buggies. On arrival, inspecting the track and venue, we were all looking forward to a good days racing.
Qualifying started, and with so many competitors running multiple classes, there was plenty of time between runs to attempt different setups. This all resulted in Jon Howells coming out again to shine with the TQ run.
With the excellent Reedy battery packs (#AS625) fully charged and with a count down and bleep we were off for the Micro A final. Jon Howells went off like a demon and led start to finish with Lloyd Pitt & Peter Hedley battling through the racing pack to make it a 1, 2, 3 finish.
A special mention should go to Gaow Hedley who qualified 1st in B final, and bumped up to the A, whilst putting in a good run and almost worrying his father Peter Hedley who took the 3rd position back off him on the last lap with him finishing 4th.
All in all a great day out with the micro Carisma GTB - only mods made are CVD's in the front and an alloy motor mount - great affordable fun for both the diehard racer and family.
