Andreas Daving takes Norwegian Cup
15/05/12
Magne Kobbevik reports from the second round of the Norwegian Cup which took place at Gjoevik Raceway.
Practise on Friday was not done cause to a lot off rain. But Saturday started with no rain. After the qualification was done, it was the former Norwegian champion Martin Soerlie that took TQ and The mustitRC Team Driver Andreas Daving in second. Andreas are running the Centro C4, B4.1 and the B44.1, he is also a Team Driver for the Vampire Racing products. He is also sponsored by NorthTQ with Savöx servos. Andreas took full control and won all the three A-mains with good margins, "The car was amazing to drive" was his first words after A-main 1, and from there it was just crazy to see how it worked. Nobody could even get close... Nr. 2 was Marius Johansen (also running the C4.1) it could have been another C4.1 on the podium, but Magne Kobbevik had some trouble in the A-main 3 and became nr.6 instead. So Tommy Langaard with his DEX210 took the final podium place!
After the race Andreas said, “It’s not fair to have a car that works so well, it’s almost like driving a 4wd...” Winner of the B-final was 7 years old Daniel Kobbevik with his C4.1, so a great day for Centro C4.1
On Sunday, it all started even better for Andreas and he took the TQ with over 20 seconds off margin on nr 2. It was not even exiting to watch, because he had full control and it was more fun to see how fast it was going for Andreas, he was also here running the Vampire Racing products. Nr. 2 was Roy Gemble with the DEX410 v3 and nr3 was Mats Oestlie also running the B44.1.
