Panther Cup

Elliott was testing all day Saturday on Proline tyres with mind for the national and was very happy with the car by the end of the day. He learnt some good information for the national event to be held there at the beginning of April. Into the Sunday race on the Panther control tyres and Elliott was the fastest guy but couldn't quite put the full clean run together which allowed David Crompton to take TQ with Elliott 2nd and Darren Bloomfield 3rd. The main final saw these 3 having a close exciting battle at the begining when a fast coming together of all 3 resulted in Elliott having to retire. This left David and Darren to fight it out with David managing to take the win by a couple of seconds. A great battle between Richard Barton and David Spahett saw Richard sneak into 3rd on the last lap with his RC8. Richard had returned to a much more standard set up than he had tried in qualifying and was much happier as a result. Elliott set up to follow soon....
