The Blaze is on Fire!

The Blaze is on Fire!

Round 2 of the BRCA Micro Nationals took place last Sunday, and once again the FTX Blaze took all the top spots in both the Pro-Stock and Modifed A final's.

Pro-Stock qualifying was dominated by the FTX Blaze of Chris Bottle, the only person to qualify with 18 laps on the fast but technical Stafford indoor track, closely followed by W.O.R.M's Dan Osborne and CML's Steve Davis in third. The Pro-Stock A final was a crowd pleaser for the full 5 minutes as Chris and Dan swapped 1st place between them for over half of the race. Only a very small mistake by each driver allowed the ever consistant Steve Davis to take 1st from Dan in 2nd and Chris in 3rd. Modified also saw the Blaze lead the way through qualifying with UK-MicroRC's Cris Oxley setting TQ from CML's Stuart Harlow and Jamie Curtis only afew seconds behind in 3rd. Cris made good his escape in the final to lead from buzzer to buzzer with a smooth and consistant drive, whilst Stu found himself battling his Venom brushless powered Blaze against Jamie Curtis, Bill Pier and Tom Hudson. Stu went on to claim 2nd from Jamie by only 0.1secs!!! Since its release back in Winter 2005 the Blaze has proven its worth with A Final win after A Final win, and looks set to continue its winning streak for a long time to come!
