Great little truggy!

This is a great little truggy. Essentially it's a 1/8th scale truggy shrunk down to 10th or 12th scale. So you get the same construction of a bigger rig (aluminum shock towers, motor mount, and hinge pin retainers, three oil filled diffs, and solid construction) in a smaller package. I liked the shock boots, too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars not 5 is that this rig really needs aftermarket bumpers. Like most RTRs, the included "bumpers" are merely cosmetic and do nothing to actually protect the car. But a good front and rear bumper set from T-Bone Racing fixes that issue and prevents a good deal of damage. Being only about 5lbs, just about anything you put in it makes it fun to drive. The included 550-size brushed motor should have plenty of torque, and depending on the Turn rating on the motor should give good speed too. I've run a small 45 Amp EZrun system with the small-ish 380-sized brushless motor and it was a blast, ran great. But eventually I put a Castle 540-sized 5700kv system in it, and the extra power that motor has really woke it up! Only the rare freak accident will break something. The car has lots of adjustments so it's very tune-able. The drive train is beefy, so it can take gobs of power. I highly recommend using closed-cell foam inserts in the tyres. The white foamies don't last and turn to dust. Use them as "beer cozies" to keep your beer from falling over on your pit table.
