JP's Komodo

The Komodo is Gmade's most refined and scale model to date, supplied in kit format with tons of features already included to give you an awesome and authentic looking RC crawler.

For those looking to take their crawler's scale realism to the next level, there's plenty of options and hop-ups to add and improve the model's looks and performance. Check out some of the mods listed below that our JP has added to his rig.

 

Being a boy racer at heart, JP couldn't resist upgrading his standard Gmade NR02 beadlock wheels to the Gmade NR01S Aluminium Wheels. They really do compliment the other ally parts he's added to the rest of the kit.

Our favourite mod is the fully working 3Racing Winch which allows you to lift your crawler out of any ditches it may get stuck in. The winch is so strong is can easily pull the entire kit up almost any surface!

 

Finishing Touches

We can see from this rear shot the Machined Diff Cover that can be added to the Komodo's GS01 Axles, supplied in the kit. Also JP has added the Aluminium Rear Axle Caps for that extra bling.

The entire kit was also completed with the Stainless Steel Hex Bolts and Nuts Kit, designed to give a high quality and super strength finish to the Komodo's 4-Link Chassis.

 

Sound & Vision

For the ultimate in scale model perfection, JP included the Team Associated ESS-ONE Engine Sound System.  The ESS-One lets you choose from multiple throaty race engine sounds, shifting, brakes, and turbo valves noises, produced for a small and easy to fit sound box. With over 45 different sounds available you'll be stunned how cool this neat speaker really is! Check out the video below.

 

The video also shows the Fastrax LED Light Kit, perfect for night driving. The light kit includes 18 different LED lights allowing you to wire up breaks, headlights, sidelights and any other type of light you want to add.

There's no doubt JP was very happy on Christmas day. Well, he had been a good boy all year. He deserved something special from Santa.
