Hofer Wins Nitro Off-Road Swiss Championship 2015

Last weekend was the last round of the 1/8th nitro buggy Swiss nationals in Courgenay Jura, Switzerland.

120 drivers were in attendence for this spectacular race with an interesting track, surfaced with all carpet, natural wood and natural grass.

Patrick Hofer and Jeremy Pittet both arrived with the goal to win the 2015 Swiss Championships and we saw a great battle play out over the whole weekend. TQ positions changed from run to run between Jeremy, Patrick, and his team mate Ronny Lüber. Ronny showing again he is capable of winning races.

Sunday was the day to race the finals. Patrick and Ronny (Patrick on position 1 and Ronny on position two) qualified at the half finals straight into the finals. Jeremy Pittet qualified on 3rd was ready to bring his 2014 Swiss national winning title into 2015! The 45 minute final started and Patrick took the lead with his Team Associated RC8B3 followed by Jeremy on Hotbodies and Ronny, also with an Associated RC8B3. Jeremy attacked Patrick after 40 minutes and Patrick decided to finish in 2nd position.

Despite coming second in the final, Patrick had secured the title with his overall lead in points and took the 2015 Swiss Championship crown. Congratulations also go to Ronny Lüber for his fantastic 3rd place! They all showed a strong season!
