Win for Associated TC6.2 at Halifax BRCA Touring national
Round 2 of the 2014 BRCA national series took place on the 24th and 25th May at the fantastic Halifax track in Yorkshire.
It was Chris Clark that was the star for AE/Reedy as he qualified 5th for the Pro stock class ‘A’ final in the tricky weather conditions that saw a constantly changing track for the drivers. Chris went on to take wins in the first and third final legs, therefore giving him the perfect result of overall victory!
In the modified, drivers Zak Smith and Alan Bickerstaff looked to improve on their steady start to the season from the London Meeting a month previously where both made B final appearances, Zak making the best on that outing finishing 11th overall.
Zak qualified in the ’B’ once more, just not getting the luck of the draw. Alan went on to score well in qualifying, taking a best 3rd place in round on Saturday afternoon on route to making his first national ‘A’ final appearance of the season. Not the finest of luck in the finals but a steady 9th overall showing that the team are getting to grips with their new ride for 2014. A solid 5th in leg 2 being some reward for the pace within the Associated/Reedy/Protoform package.
Next stop for the UK national series will be rd 3 at Stafford on June 14th & 15th
