Associated L4 does it again!

Round 2 of the BRCA 12th Circuit series was hosted by Chippenham Model Car Club and saw another National victory go to the L4 ? this time in the 19t class.

The drivers were greeted with a large open track which turned out to be much more technically demanding than it looked ? and grip was good right from the start of the meeting. After playing with set-up during qualifying, CML / Microtech Racing driver Keith Robertson was disappointed to only make sixth place on the grid, but he was pleased with the pace with which he was able to lap the track. Going into the final, a new T-bar was fitted along with lighter oil in the centre shock which made the car even better. The start to the A final was totally clean, pole man Matt White however was slow away and dropped down the order. Keith was soon up to third place, passing current Champion Andy Griffiths, and then as the leaders slowed each other up he seized his opportunity to pass them both to take the lead. Once in front he was able to pull away to take the win ? also taking over the lead in the title chase. The only option parts used on Keith?s L4 are the IRS lowered rear pod and the IRS lowered front arms ? both of which allow the use of smaller diameter tyres ? perfect for the latest Jaco Prism trued and glued foams.
