Wood & Savox Victorious - 2015 1/8 British Champions!
The final round of the 1/8 Circuit BRCA National Championship took place at the Mendip Race Circuit. Going into the event, the title fight was between only two contenders; Serpent Team-mates Mark Green & Tim Wood.
A dry race day ensured, and it was good to see a number of new 1/8 drivers present. After qualifying, the TQ man was the Savox Servo powered car of Tim Wood, proving fastest on the day and with it confirming the 2015 1/8 National Championship Title. Unfortunately team-mate Mark was not able to start.
So after a long 9 race 2015 Season, that saw multiple TQs, Wins, ups, downs and controversy, the Savox SB2271SG servos in Tim's 977 car have proved their speed and reliability to storm to Savox's third 1/8 Circuit BRCA British Title.
Throughout the campaign Tim also used Protoform PFR18 and Protoform P909 Lightweight Bodyshells with great effect.
Vice champion was Andrew Hastings (PF Shells) and third overall was another Savox driver - John Carr who took his first podium championship position after switching to Savox SB2271SG servos on Tim's pre-season advice.
Tim would like to thank Savox and CML for their support in 2015 and is delighted to clinch his 4th UK Championship.
