Grainger Back to Winning Ways

Grainger Back to Winning Ways

The RC legend that is Chris Grainger has been enjoying his Team Associated TC6.2 and chalked up a great victory at Mendip.

Having switched back to Team Associated and Reedy Power over the winter, it did not take Chris Grainger long to find his feet and get back to winning ways as he dominated this past weekends BRCA National Championships Round 2 held at Mendip, Weston-Super-Mare.

A great team effort supported Chris as he secured overall TQ with his Reedy powered TC6.2 after five rounds of qualifying. Joining Chris in the A final was Zak Smith with another solid event.   Mark Wallace was unfortunate not to make it a double TQ in qualifying ending up second on the grid in the stock class.

Team Associated drivers (clockwise from top): Alan Bickerstaff, Michael Bolt, Michael Bird, Stuart Webb, Matt White.

In the finals Chris took wins in the first two legs of the A to secure his first National win for nearly two years with Zak coming home eighth overall. Fellow teammates Matt White (BQ) and Alan Bickerstaff (B Final 1st) narrowly missed out on joining Chris and Zak in the main event.

In the stock A Final Mark Wallace was unable to quite replicate his blistering qualifying pace, coming home in an excellent 4th place overall.

All in all a great weekend for CML - Team Associated/Reedy!
