More wins for Savox and Protoform

Easter weekend saw the 1/10th IC National take place at the Mendip circuit near Weston Super Mare.

Good weather all weekend saw the grip coming up quickly. In the Sports GT class, Andy Hastings was running his car for the first time using Savox 1251 MG Low profile servos.

After making a few small changes during free practice on Saturday, Andy’s V10 was consistently setting the pace, lapping in the low 16 seconds.

After 4 rounds of qualifying on the Sunday, Andy took the TQ spot, over 7 seconds up on the reigning national champion.

The half hour Sports GT final set off with Andy maintaining his TQ position, and gradually stretching out his lead at around half a second a lap. After settling into a steady drive, Andy eventually took the chequered flag, over 3 laps up no the second place car.
