CML Masters 2015 Paris

Drescher steps back intime, Boots closes out the show!

The 2nd Annual CML Halloween Masters was hosted at the BCL indoor track at Louvre, Paris this past weekend. With over 220 entries across 6 different classes CML are proud to announce it was a HUGE success and will become a regular feature on the 1/10th off-road calendar.

2WD Modified

In the premier 2WD Mod class it was Craig Drescher who surprised the field and hit the ground running with a flourish. His Reedy Powered B5M topped practice, every qualifying round and all 3 mains.  It was a flash back of the 90's for Drescher who was in superb form. Even Drescher said he was "astounded" to be so competitive after 13 months off the sticks. Drescher could be seen running development parts on his B5M which have been extensively tested throughout Europe over the past few months. Without which he claims this results would not have been possible.

Along side the recently announced new 3 gear transmission Drescher's car was sporting a few other fine and subtle changes to improve the overall performance on the carpet and high bite conditions. The transmission is a major step forward for carpet and we continue to work on the finer details needed to bring the package to life on the astroturf.

Drescher had this to say.

"I've been attending a few key races throughout Europe in an attempt to get a better understanding of what is needed. The European team have been extremely helpful and dedicated to getting me as much information and data as possible to speed up this process and help Team Associated act quickly.  Attending these races has helped me see where we are loosing out and what needs to be done. I believe we now have a much better understanding of whats needed and we will continue to work hard to get this right. It is all heading in the right direction and if last weeks result is anything to go by- I'm extremely happy with the progress we've made. I couldn't have done it if the car wasn't working. Thanks everybody"

RC10

Topping off a fantastic weekend Drescher then went on to rewind the clock and win the RC10 Classic Class from 3rd on the grid with his Original RC10 Worlds Edition prepared meticulously by Cedric Devillers. TQ was taken by Julian Ferrandis who eventually finished 2nd behind Drescher and 3rd was Arnaud Ledun.

Lapping just 1.1 seconds a lap slower than the B5M is amazing considering the developments that have taken place over the last 20yrs.

4WD Mod

It was 1/8th specialist Elliot Boots  who took the overall win and TQ in 4WD after some stiff competition from Crolla and Risser. Elliot came out victorious after a flush of brilliance in leg 3 to take the overall win. Looking comfortable and in control all weekend the Proline star had a great weekend.

In the 2wd stock class it was a titanic battle and fantastic race between the top 3 youngsters. All these guys deserve a big pat on the back for such a great battle and they put on the best show of the weekend.
