Strong showing for TC6.2 at Stafford National

Strong showing for TC6.2 at Stafford National

Following the solid results for the CML/Associated/Reedy on-road team at Halifax, the team moved onto Rnd 3 at Stafford hopeful that form would continue.

In Pro Stock, round 2’s winner Chris Clark took a fine 5th place, qualifying for the main, after three legs in which luck wasn’t quite on his side, the reward was 7th overall. Steady points all the same for the championship series.

In the Modified class Zak and Alan ran a similar pace all weekend, both holding top ten places in the overnight listings before the final two qualifying rounds on Sunday morning. Both drivers got the job done on Sunday morning, securing 9th (Alan) and 10th (Zak) for the three leg finals. Alan happy to make it two finals in a row this season with Zak delighted to make his first ‘A’ final run of the year at a track where he so narrowly missed out back in 2013.

The finals were a close affair in the top ten and the Associated TC6.2 showed pace with the surrounding group. After some impressive drives Zak finished in 7th overall with Alan making up a spot to finish 8th.

Overall, a good meeting, with three cars making 'A' final appearances. Now the drivers will have to get their heads down and prepare for round 4, on July 5th and 6th, at the fantastic yet challenging Cotswolds track.
