French Nationals Domination

French Nationals Domination

A clean sweep at the 1st French National for Team Associated, Centro and CML Distribution.

Last weekend, near Paris, the Damartin MCCD R/C club hosted the first round of the 2014 French national on a tricky indoor track - a mixture of sport hall plastic ground and carpet floor. No less than 180 drivers attended the event mixed in 2WD open and promo and 4WD open.

In 2WD, after four rounds of qualifications, there were four C4.2's in the A-main! TQ was secured by Stéphane Deroch, just in front of Ludovic Valtier in 2nd, Julien Formentin in 6th place, and Armand Lantheaume in 10th.

After the mains, and the significant Stéphane Deroch domination - who took all three legs, to claim the top podium spot, on the 2nd step was Ludovic Valtier and on 3rd Julien Formentin. 4th place went to Armand Lantheaume. What an awesome result for the CML Centro C4.2, for what should have been its last national race in hands of the official team. A new story is yet to be written with the Team Associated B5's.

In 4WD Ludovic Valtier took the TQ spot with his B44.2 in front of  Alexis Dufau-Cazenave's Hobitech and Mathieu Briere's Xray, Team Associated team mates Armand was to start 6th on the grid with Julien in 9th.

In mains, again, was a big domination for CML team drivers! After an exciting third leg Julien Formentin, who started 9th the grid, crossed the line in front of the field to take home the overall win. 2nd place went to the TQ man, Ludovic Valtier, and the 3rd and last place on the podium was claimed by Armand Lantheaume. All drivers reporting their B44.2's performed really well.

This awesome performance is result of the hard work of the Team Associated/CML Distribution race team all week end long.

Next appointement is setted in a month, in the south of France at Vic La Gardiole, on a large and dirty track...
