TC6 Wins at Ardent Winter Series

After some great performances at the recent UK nationals the TC6 showed it can cut it on carpet too with a dominating win at Ardent Racing's Winter Series.

The Kick Energy Drink Ardent Winter Series round one proved the first real carpet test for the new TC6 and in the hands of Olly Jefferies Associated?s new touring car dominated the modified class. Olly was fastest in all three rounds of qualifying and took victory in both finals. Olly took the overall victory ahead of Johnny Aird and Stefan Chodzynski. Paul Pinkney was next up with reigning UK touring champion Chris Grainger fifth. A number of the Associated team were also competing the first round of the Ardent series including new recruit Andy Murray. Andy was using one of Olly?s old TC5?s as he starts to find his feet with the team. Zak Smith was running in Pro Stock and he qualified fifth for the A final with his TC5 but problems in the first final saw Zak finish eight. Cam McDonald will be glad to see the end of 2010 after another jinxed performance that saw Cam down in the Pro Stock C final. Picture courtesy of Ardent Raceway. In the 1:12 class Tom Jefferies was running his R5.1 and qualified ninth for the A final, Tom eventually finished one place higher after the two leg finals in eighth.
