Carisma Cup

Last weekend saw Bedford RCCC host the 2010 Carisma Cup where fun is the key recipe for a successful weekend.

A great night of fun on the Saturday in the rugby club was followed on the Sunday by some great racing in all classes with RTR 1/14th Carismas, Venom Bikes, GT14 mod and open classes plus a few 1/10th Carismas running in the stock class. Kris Kennedy keeping everyone entertained on the mic plus a raffle and some great prizes for all the racers thanks to CML and FTD Models. The main raffle prize was the new Carisma F14 Evo Formula 1 car which was won by Gordon Danes a Bedworth members who's son already races a GT14, Gordon races a 1/10th F1 and has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the F14 so it couldn't have gone to a better person. He hasn't stopped smiling yet and couldn't believe his luck when his ticket came out first. Thanks go to Coventry Model car club, CML Distribution, FTD Models, Bedworth Rugby club, Kris Kennedy who gave freely of his time to come down and do the commentary which made the day, all the racers and those that gave so freely to the raffle and collections for Myton Hospice. A grand total of ?1100 was raised over the weekend. As well as Bedworth model car club, Coventry Model car club also put in there race fees from a meeting they held along with a raffle held by them (over ?400). A brilliant result for a great cause.
