Savox have recently released the new High Voltage SC 1267 and SC 1268MG servos. The 67 is 21kg and 0.07s and the 68 is 26kg at 0.11s when they are connected directly to a 2S LiPo Battery.
These servos have been chosen to control the new Extreme Flight 78inch Extra and have proved themselves to be blisteringly fast and to still possess class leading resolution and centralization.
Top Tips:
By using 2 separate Lipo a safety factor can be built in, for this size aircraft I have fitted 1000mAh Bionic which gives me 2000mAh overall capacity. On this size and weight of aircraft a typical aeromusical flight display uses 200mAh so these batteries are good for a days flying.
Check your RX flight batteries after each flight, I would suggest that you recharge after using 50-60% of your total capacity to be on the safe side.
To minimise weight and add to the simplicity and security I have also eliminated switches on this aircraft. I use MPX 6 pin gold connectors to make and break the RX circuit.
