Famous models have chosen the second mustang in the series, as the stunning “Marie”. This was operated by Freddie Ohr who belonged to 52nd fighter group,2nd squadron. The Marie served in Austrian theatre but was lost in action on 8th December 1944.
The models is constructed from light and durable EPP foam and it also features many superb scale details. Being fully designed for Electric power the canopy is removable and is retained by a powerful magnet and front location tab. This allows access to the battery and radio bay with no hassle. It should be noted that no battery is included in this kit so we use the high power 4000mAh 4S Bionic battery, which gives us excellent performance as well as duration.
This FMS Mustang is the first in the new war bird stable to feature the new electronic worm drive retracts and flaps all as standard! You may also order a version with a fully installed 2.4Ghz radio system making this aircraft a real one stop scale solution.
Inside the kit you will also find a 2 blade and a scale 4 blade propeller, including 2 spinners to suit. Use the 4 blade for maximum power and the 2 blade for duration, the flight hub team always use the 4 blade as it gives a great display envelope and when it’s in the pits it looks fantastic.
Stay ahead of the pack with the new and improved famous models P51D Mustang, you wont be disappointed.

ESC – 50Amp with integrated 3amp BEC

Motor – Brushless 3648-kv500

NB - No Battery or charger is included in this kit.
We recommend 3300-4000mAh 4S LiPo from Bionic.

Suggest you use Music in Videos as a Background only and give the noise from th flying a half decent chance!
Comment noted, but as these are electric there really is very little sound, other than maybe the pilots heavy breathing. I suppose we could use the sound of Merlin to really pep it up!
Nice looking P51 but why did you not retract the wheels in flight ? Did you have a problem?
Warbirds always look better flying with the gear up where fitted.
Hi Pete
The P51 originally came with 2 configurations: With Retracts and Flaps or Fixed Undercarriage.
The model we used for the video was infact the fixed undercarriage.
I agree that these aircraft look much better with the U/C retracted but we have to show different variants.
The new electronic worm drive retracts are proving to be very good and are available as a spare part to upgrade any versions without retracts.
Really enjoying this model …. some good flights today. Have had issues with ESC/Motor and steve @ CML sorted.
Have had an issue with the worm drive retracts though … have had two landings (nothing major) which have bent the drive shaft in one of the retracts. Having a look the side not damaged has the leg held into the mount with a small screw. The leg gone twice does not, hence the leg is coming down on drive shaft and bending it.
Plus mine came with the 4 and 2 blade prop but only one spinner??
…. guess another call coming your way steve.
If you get one don’t think as RTF she will be fine … check everything to ensure fitted correctly and complete.
Once it is all sorted she is mint.
Glad you are enjoying this aircraft Bob. Never had a failure with the retracts myself, but we have spares so please contact your local model shop to order.
The Spinner is universal and fits both 2 and 4 blade props.
