Ollie Staples – Flighthub Team member, visited CML today. Ollie lives in Sheffield and is a full time student, currently taking his “AS level” exams. “Luckily” Shaun (Ollie’s Dad) was on holiday so he had the pleasure of driving Ollie down the M1 and M42 and accross to Bromsgrove, saving Ollie the pleasure of using our public transport.
It’s Ollies first visit to CML so I gave them a walk-around of the facilities where we ended up over at our second warehouse, this is our main bulk stores. The Unit also contains my building and testing workshop, it’s great to do a bit of show and tell and we were also able to talk through a few interesting projects that we have coming up. After the tour of the facilities and formal introductions to the CML team we departed for a well deserved spot of lunch!!
Upon return we gave Ollie plenty of products for him to test, which included, the new “Famous Models” A4 and Mirage 4000. Ollie will be reporting back on his findings, so stay tuned to Flighthub for “Top Tips” and other informative articles from this young man.
With the competion season approaching many pilots are finishing off their new aircraft. Ollie is currently completing a 2.6m Yak 54, powered by a light weight 110cc petrol boxer engine. This fine aircraft will be using the Savox SC 1256 Titanium servos to control it and I look forward to some mind blowing freestyles! Video, Video!!
I’m very pleased with how the day went, and I know Ollie and Shaun enjoyed the trip down south to Bromsgrove.
Welcome to the team Ollie!!
