The Skyraider was designed towards the latter years of WW2 to serve as a carrier based, single seat torpedo/dive bomber. It never arrived until after the end of the war but it did see action in both Korea and Vietnam. The aircraft was designed to travel long distances carrying huge payloads hung from multiple hard points and it offered very good pilot protection and superb durability to withstand battle damage and be able to continue to operate. It became a firm favourite with the pilots that flew it and even managed to down several of the infamous MiG 17 fighter jet. This compact and agile replica builds quickly and flies like a dream.
